She came into heat because she is not spayed. Medicine can't make a ferret go into heat.

She will not go out of heat unless she receives the appropriate treatment to take her out of heat. Or she is bred, which would be disastrous given your lack of experience and knowledge.

If she continues in heat, as you first feared, she is at risk of dying from complications of aplastic anemia.

Get her to a ferret knowledgeable vet!

I believe several people have given you names of ferret vets. So either arrange to take her yourself or request your vet to consult with one. 3 hours is not an unreasonable distance to travel to save the life of your ferret.

What you are describing and dealing with is best addressed by a competent and knowledgeable ferret veterinarian.

There is no substitute for veterinary expertise.
