Mandy
I just went back and read your other posts here about this ferret.
I am a bit confused. Back in Sept you wrote about your male ferret with a hacking cough. He was put on antibiotic and that cleared up?

Nov 2 you posted about your female in heat.

Nov 5 you say this is the same ferret with the cough you wrote about awhile back. She is gagging and trying to vomit, with a sore in her throat. Were they both ill at the time?

Mandy, why do you think this ferret is in heat. Is it because of a swollen vulva? A discharge?

*If* she has a infection going on, that might cause these symptoms?
I do not know, it's just something that occurred to me.

I have NO experience with female ferrets in heat. But I did take in a spayed female with a swollen vulva and a discharge. My vet examined her, and she had a raging UTE. It cleared up nicely with a round of antibiotics.

At any rate, I so hope you will be able to find a way to get this wee one the help she needs.

Ardith
