Strokes have not been documented in ferrets and by using the separate archives in past posts you will notice that Dr. Bruce Williams, a ferret specialist veterinary pathologist, doubts that strokes can happen in ferrets, but thrown clots (thromboses) certainly do happen and the major underlying cause, heart disease, can be hidden.
Injury is still possible if he happened to land very wrong.
There will be other possible causes, of course.
