Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret belly keeps filling up with fluid.
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi all,
I have a baby that was diagnosed with lymphoma a month and half ago. He went in for exploratory surgery since he kept filling up with fluid and was found to have lympho. I am currently treating him with chemo- the Tuft's protocol. He was drained of the fluid during surgery it came back with in a week. We started the chemo in hopes that it would eventually rid the body of the fluid. Last week took him in and they drained his belly along with his chemo treatment since he had gotten so large it was hard for him to get around. Vet said the fluid had a lot less cancer cells this time (chemo starting to work?) well the fluid is back in his belly within 1 week of being drained. Has anyone ever had this experience and could maybe share some insight?
Thank You
Lisa Thompson
