My petsitters have instructions to put my ferrets in the refrigerator in the event of their death while I am away. Would that have preserved the body without masking the cause of death?
Also, I had a ferret with lymphosarcoma and he showed neurological symptoms - not the weakness - in the weeks before he died. I think that this can come on quite suddenly and really just suddenly tips.
