One precaution that I give whenever my ferrets experience a significant
stress is to give them Pepcid for at least a couple of days.
The dose I've been using for many years under the guidance of my vet is
2.5mg (1/4 of a 10mg tablet) once - twice per day.
This can reduce the chance that stress will develop into an ulcer.
