There are treatment options which usually give more time and some ferrets have even had remission but only a few of those, and lymphoma can vary a LOT in how rapidly it progresses; we have even had one with surgically verified lymphoma (yes, pathology done by a ferret knowledgeable veterinary pathologist) who lived for about a year and half with it though most we have had with lymphoma have had less than a year even with treatment.
