I'm not sure about the viral, but I did want to mention about something different.  In regards to Daisy, if your vet puts her on Pred first, and then tries to add in chemo drugs later, chances are, the chemo meds are not going to work.  My former vet (since relocated) is a top guy in chemo, and he rarely liked to use Pred for much of anything, because of this possibility - the ferret eventually getting lymphoma and then chemo not working.  I dont know how long Daisy has been on the Pred, but you might want to discuss this with him, and if you choose to go the chemo route with Daisy also, get her started on it asap.
