I used it recently with Dozer, who passed away from proliferative colitis on Nov 20. He hated the metronidazole benzoate as much as he hated the regular metronidazole, and got very upset when forced to take it. And yes, I have always agreed with your philosophy that it's counter-productive to use a med like this that stresses them out so much, but in Dozer's case, it was our last hope, as everything else we tried didn't help, including Imuran, chloramphenicol, tylan, and other things. Unfortunately, neither did the metronidazole.
