Subject: [ferrethealth] Totally Ferret Food for Active Ferrets
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Has anyone had a problem in the past month or two with totally ferret for active/show ferrets in the blue and white bag. I have fed my ferrets totally ferret food for the past 10 years and now they are turning their noses up at it. I called the people in Colorado that make the food and they assured me that there hadn't been any formula changes to the food but kibble from two different batches with different expiry dates, one made in October of this year and the other made in December of this year smell and look different than the food I purchased in November. I am at my wits end as I have maybe a 4 week supply of the old food and can't find anyone who sells it in London Ontario.

It is almost like the manufacturer has mixed up the food and put it in the wrong bag.....

Ferguson and Spencer absolutely refuse any other food.

[This post is borderline for FHL but ferrets refusing food is a health issue. If you want to suggest specific retailers please send that information direct to Lynda.

Lynda: Totally Ferret is what my little ones eat too. It is no longer available in local stores here either. It's sold online by a number of different websites. Do a search and I'm sure you will find it. I haven't noticed any difference in the new bag and my fuzzies haven't either. In any case, you probably do want to start mixing in another food and keep trying different ones. Formula changes do happen from time to time. --Moderator (CMM)]
