She may be bored when in her cage.  Aside from toys, you could try chew treats such as Foamy Fries, Cheweasels, or N-Bones. She might not be interested in these at first--it helps to get them interested if you moisten one end first and gently stick it in her mouth. Usually once they actually *taste* the chew treat they get the hang of them pretty fast.

Just be careful and give ferret-safe chews, avoid sugary treats and dog treats--be VERY careful of "greenies" as animals like to bite off and swallow small chunks which can cause intestinal blockage. Carrots and veggies are also a big no-no.

The first few times you give her a chew treat, keep an eye on her to ensure she doesn't try to bolt it down whole or panic if it gets stuck to her teeth.
