Thanks I might have left off some information.

I own RCF, two huge males to be exact. While they weigh in at about
4lbs each, Hog, barely tips the scales at 2lbs. Also he is way shorter.
He is the same length as my extra small ferrets who don't even come in
at a pound. Now my giant RCFs do not have this broad head. They are
narrower and longer in snout. More triangle while he is an egg shape.

Before I got them: Fed Marshalls and cat food.

Now: My mix of 8&1 Ultimate, Totally Ferret, Petsmart All Living
Things, Drs Foster and Smith and Zupreem Grain Free. They also have
their food they came with available. They are getting about a cup or
1.5c of Duk soup daily. Ferretone was used for nails and will be
included with a daily suppliment until we stabilize him. No ferretvite
as I don't know if he has insulinoma. I feed a mix because they are
mostly for adoption and I need them to know that all this is food encase
their owners run out and have to run to a local store to get food. We
have run out of 8&1 Ultimate locally before. Hog did love all the food
presented to him.

Before : very little outside cage. Very gross dirty smelly cage. Feces
in hammocks.

Now: Minimum 6 hours a day optional to get out of cage and roam. Not
just climbing but I don't want him laying in a hammock when the cage is
closed just eating. I want to encourage movement. The path to the food
is very easy for him to get to but he likes to scale the cage. He is
with his cagemate, Coon, who climbs all over and he likes to cuddle with
her. I have yet to find any feces in the hammocks and my cages are
picked of dirty litter daily.

He does not have teeth or gums issues. Ears are fairly clean for such a
dirty environment. Eyes are clear. No sneezing.

I do think we will do antibiotics but want to do a blood panel to make
sure which type. We usually use Cefa. It works with my two often sick
boys. I just keep scratching my head over his head shape. I have not
seen this since I babysat a litter.
