Wonder if this might be a birth defect or the result of malnourishment early on.

Other than his issues with defecation, is his behaviour normal for the most part, or have you observed any aberrant behaviour?

Mycoplasmosis is diagnosed through bronchoalveolar lavage with sample sent to c/o Matti Kiupel at Michigan State University Pathology lab.

Antibiotics used to treat mycoplasmosis are doxycycline at 10 mg/kg twice a day and Baytril 10 mg/kg 2 times a day for months (Murray, personal communication 8/8/10). Cough suppressants, bronchodilators, and antiinflammatories as needed.

I erroneously misspelled Kevin's surname, it is Farlee not Farley (apologies Kevin).
