Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Monitoring post-op insulinoma BGs
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Yes am aware of all those issues--just wondered if there was general rule of thumb as far as post-prandial testing. How do humans monitor their diabetes?
(also--why did my post and moderator's response show up on groups site but not in my FHL e-mail??)
--Skyla
{While I don't personally have diabetes, it is in my family. A person generally keeps a chart of their BG at various intervals during the day, e.g., on waking in the morning; before/after insulin; before/after a meal (60, 90 and/or 120 minutes post eating); before/after activities like exercising, etc.
If you wish to send an email to someone in particular, use the email tool in the right-hand margin of the individual post. If you simply hit reply or use the Post function in the left-hand margin - it will come through as a post to everyone. If you don't wish it to appear as a public post, that directive has to be given in the content of the message you are composing. - Moderator (TD)].
