Some Ferrets are sensitive to eating raw and kibble together and so kibble is usually taken away 3 hours before feeding raw. Kibble is also digested at a much faster rate then raw which is why when eaten together, some, not all, Ferrets will actually get an upset stomach. That is why I choose to leave freeze dried food in my cage during the day instead of kibble. Also raw fed Ferrets do not need to eat quite as frequently because the raw food is digested at a slower rate the kibble. Obviously health conditions need to be taken into account for feeding frequency.

Also depending on the type of raw you are feeding depends on how long it stays good in the cage. Whole prey (with fur and skin) stays good for 24 hours because it has the skin to protect it. Chunks of meat, depending on how big might stay good 6-12 hours. And soup is usually only good for about 4 hours.
My girl will not eat her food if it is old :) lol spoiled child
