If you look in the separate FHL archives you will find excellent replies about this med from Dr. Jerry Murray.

This vaccine has had only a very small and short test by the manufacturer to look for complications, but most reactions only happen after repeated uses sothose would not be studied. There were still no tests to even see if it actually works in ferrets the last I heard. Privately, I have heard from someone else that their recommendations for kit vaccine timing is inconsistent with what isknown about ferret kit immune system development.

The vaccine might have potential if used right or it might be useless or risky with repeated uses over the years. Without the right testing there is no way toknow. The responsible thing would be to test it. If they can not afford that then they should cover titers by a third party like Cornell with results sent to the treating veterinarians who could report findings back tothem.

DO SEARCH IN THE SEPARATE FHL ARCHIVES ON THIS TOPIC. You can link to it from the FHL homepage.
