This is the reponse we got from the vet that did the injection on my friend's ferret:

Here is the information from Dr Larry:
"The Deslorelin is brand named SucroMate Equine and produced by Thorn
BioScience of Louisville, KY. The concentration is 18 mg/ml.
I use 0.5 ml per ferret which is about 1/6 of the dose that has been used
with the depot implant. I felt that this was prudent since we have no
formal data to tell us the exact speed of release. My first ferret patient
to get this injection was in June of 2011. So far it still appears to be
working and I have had no reactions from any patients"
