We have had a ferret who had insulinoma like symptoms (but much stronger) with lymphoma in the pancreas rather than standard insulinoma, and have had another with an even worse situation who had carcinoma in the pancreas producing insulinoma like symptoms. (For both the initial symptom was almost dying, found fully unconscious, and both needed gentle cheek puff to muzzle artificial respiration more than once on the way for emergency care while the one with carcinoma also needed to be warmed.) Both were helped greatly by Prednisolone (not Prednisone) and diazoxide, and by always having fluid with sugars available because those two diseases in the pancreas are trickier than insulinoma. Both lived longer than expected, with the one who had lymphoma in the pancreas suviving for 9 months.
Granted, those were years ago, but this info might still be useful.
