Ask your vet if the ferret will have to be isolated from others and if you have to handle with rubber gloves. Ours had to be and it was not a happy little trouper. Spent her last days alone in a cage away from her mates and we could only handle her with the hated rubber gloves--no life for a ferret.....
[I've never had to isolate a ferret during chemo, nor was I ever required to use rubber gloves! I'd be interested in hearing whether anyone else had these requirements. What rationale were you given for these precautions?? - Moderator (TD)].
