As there are different chemo regimens, it is possible if the ferret had an oral chemo drug then had to be careful about administering it, and possibly the stools/urine  would have some of the agent in it.  A friend had a ferret on this, during admin of the drug had to wear gloves and had to careful, but didn't have to separate from other ferrets.  The main thing is that the person giving the meds doesn't want to be exposed to the agent and should use precautions during administering it and cleaning up after ferret ( litter box,etc).
