The owner does not want to opt for chemotherapy.
Regarding the safety requirements, as I learnt in a veterinary congress in London last year, it is indeed indicated you don't have contact with the pet while being under chemotherapy and, in most cases, they recommend euthanasia, especially when there are small kids in the house who could get exposed to chemicals. Even though I understand the logics of it, I don't agree with it. What happens if one of our beloved get cancer and have to go under chemo protocol? We put them down? :) No way...
