Be careful to space the meds right, too.

There are meds that should not be given to the same individual (like Dioxin with Carafate), others which have other special precautions, and some need a bit of time separation, for example, Carafate coats the damaged areas acting like a bandage so works best if given on an empty stomach, and it is best to have a separation (maybe a half hour or more) before or after giving other meds. I do NOT know if Pepcid requires a time separation from any meds you are giving, but have read on some meds that they need a time separation from similar meds to Pepcid so that needs to be checked if not already covered.
