People USED to make that mistake with Brewers Yeast, too.

Giving something which has the potential to increase the insulin present in a ferret who has beta cell tumors, which already produce too much insulin no matter what, can at best have no effect if the other beta cells are staying quiet due to there already being so much insulin present, or at worst can make things worse if it causes them to become more active despite the already high insulin levels, of it itself acts like insulin. In those worst situations the blood glucose is going to drop even further. Please, also notice in Dr. Murray's post that this product also can be toxic.

It maybe can be good for people with ferrets who have diabetes to know about this just as it is good for them to know that Brewers Yeast might provide a bit of added help, but insulinoma is the opposite of diabetes in the amount of insulin present. After reading Dr. Jerry Murray and Jeff, and learning more about this product at your own link the results truly worry me.
