I had suggested in an earlier response to your first posting the you might want to try either diazoxide or dexamethasone, or both, in place of the pred. Have you tried either of these with him at any point in time, and if so, what kind of results did you get? Iâm wondering if his other underlying problems have made him less responsive to ALL âconventionalâ insulinoma meds, or just to pred. Diazoxide and dexamethasone, at least from what Iâve experienced and what Iâve read, tend to have less of an adverse effect on the stomach than pred might.
