Hi Holly,
Thanks, I would like to be open minded, but I think its very important to check his BG levels. It's really the only way you will know if he is stabilized. If you don't like to prick your pet & vet cost do add up. Maybe buy a BG kit (they do mention ones to use on FHL) and have someone else, who is comfortable with testing do it. It just a small prick on a paw pad. Then you'll be giving us valuable info. I give Otter, my insulinoma ferret SQ fluids like every 8 days, he does drink water on his own but his "scruff test" says he needs more hydration. I don't like jabbing him w/a needle but I stay calm and do it for his benefit.
Few Q's about Cocoa's treatments
Did you stop pred?
How often do you hand feed?
Thanks,
