Opps, noticed one more thing.
You say mg. Were you giving Prednisone instead of Prednisolone, Holly? With ferrets always opt for Prednisolone rather than Prednisone.
BTW, some whose ferrets get ulcers go to injected steroids. I *USED* to have a problem with needles like yours, Holly. Ferret care and allergy shots got me totally past it, and that was mostly the ferret care, though i will confess that the first time -- decades ago -- that I gave a ferret sub-cu hydration I got up afterwards, walked a few steps and then fainted, which is the same thing Steve did when he had to be the emergency anesthesiologist for one of ours at 3 a.m. one morning. Having ferrets teaches ALL SORTS of things!
