I hope my reply did not come across with the wrong attitude.   I really appreciate any information or point of view.
My reply was intended to explain the situation that our ferrets live in. I think our ferrets are getting a high end diet, and do not have to deal with slippery surfaces. George does have insulinoma and curls his toes (at times not 100% of the time). He looks good on most days but sometimes I still see some ataxia.
We're going to get some test strips and see if we can test his glucose during a time when we see he has ataxia. We've never had a much luck with taking glucose reading this way as sticking their toes seems so cruel esp since we have a hard time getting enough blood and we end up sticking 3 or 4 times, just to give up because we couldn't get the blood. The test strips we have now are expired.
Thank you again
Mike
