OK My oldest rescue that was rehomed from me at age 10yrs lived to 14yrs. Jerry Springer was a PathValley Ferret. When he came into my friends rescue at age 10 months he was being fed crappy kibble. While in both our care he was fed a higher quality cat food, Innova to be exact as the main diet and he was a DEW. The person I got him from is also a breeder and her oldest passed away suddenly at 1 day shy of his 17th birthday. He had been altered at age 9 or 10yrs. Most of my ferrets (breeders & late alters) have passed at age 10 or 11yrs, all being fed a higher quaity kibble.
People will decide what is best for themself what they feel is best. Â
