Subject: [ferrethealth] some insulinoma and adrenal resources; new skin tumor article
To: fhl <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

For insulinoma: surgery is one treatment. Prednisolone is a better choice than Prednisone. Three times a day rather than two is often better if the insulinoma is advanced. Dex can be used. Those who have ulcers can get injected steroids. Diazoxide (the generic of Proglycem) can also be used.

adrenal:

Surgery is used. Virbac and Peptech sell Suprelorin which is the implant of deslorelin since the short term deslorelin horse med should not be used, for the same reason that the short term Lupron should not be used. Suprelorin is the more recent related med often used now instead of Lupron depot. If Lupron is used instead then it must be the depot version. Either of those two can be used with Ferretonin implants (melatonin).

Possible serious complications of untreated or insufficiently treated adrenal disease can include prostate problems or life-threatening anemia from marrow damage. There are others.
