A vitamin supplement --or rather an iron supplement-- would only be of use if Ferguson's anemia was caused by iron deficiency. And if you are feeding a good quality ferret diet, that is not likely. Yes adrenal disease can cause a mild anemia, whether that's what the cause is here I couldn't say.
I am curious about his urinalysis though--did they get a "free catch" sample or did they obtain a sample with a needle? Normal urine should not have blood in it, but if they did do a "cysto" sometimes a little blood can get in the sample.
