Subject: [ferrethealth] Need info ASAP re: swelling, ferret

He got his foot tangled in a blanket in his bed and it's all swollen, foot up to his armpit. What can I do? I am a senior on disability and have not enough income for extensive work. Is there any program that will help me?His foot looks like a balloon. Can I try ice? My said not to.
Any info is so much appreciated, please. I am in Salem, Oregon
[There is a very real chance that a bone is broken. This ferret is probably also in real pain. He needs to see a ferret vet ASAP. There is no substitute for proper vet care and nobody can help you via e-mail. I understand you're on a tight budget but you still need to take him to a vet. --Moderator (CMM)]
