Melatonin implants only last 3-4 months, and if she got one in August, she’s overdue for another one. That may help. What about a little ferretone or salmon oil in her food daily? These help coat and skin. Or possibly a topical spray for coat and skin. There are some made specifically for ferrets. These are some things to try. And yes, my first thought was also that the right adrenal could be affected, but these are some easier and cheaper things to try first. And remember, if she ever does have the right adrenal gland removed or debulked, she could then need meds for the rest of her life to avoid Addison’s disease. Not to mention that right adrenal surgery could be far more difficult, and in some cases nearly impossible if the vena cava is overly involved.
