To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
We have also only used Carafate & Amoxi for the healing of ulcers over the last 15+ years in our shelter on numerous ferrets with great success.
We would never use the Flagyl (our 'F' word) aka metronidazole on our guys. Way too nasty and stressful.

[When our vets have prescribed metronidazole/flagyl for our ferrets for various issues over the years we found that drawing a little Linatone or Ferretone into the syringe first helps. We also always follow meds with treats when possible and the knowledge that a treat follows also seems to help. --Moderator (CMM)]
