Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Mass Btwn Shoulder Blades Containing Melatonin Implants
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

This is a very unusual problem. I've never heard of this happening before with a melatonin implant.

Dr. Bruce Williams mentions off list that with sarcomas in the skin it is usually metal that is implicated (Yes, some things that are injected like some vaccines sometimes have traces of metals in them.) and is wondering if the implant might contain any metal salts, but until more is learned it is not possible to say one way or the other if it might.

There is the possibility that the location is a coincidence.

There is also the possibility that this is a smooth muscle tumor instead, which Dr. Williams also mentioned privately, but there just is not enough known at this time to know what it actually is.

It's quite a mystery.

This post is part my words and part paraphrasing of what Dr. Williams said so any errors are my own and not his!
