Hi Dr. Dave:

I’m attaching a copy of a study on Selemectin that suggests that 18 mg. per month per ferret is adequate to prevent heartworm. I personally use 1/2 a vial of the Revolution for cats (5-15 lbs.) per month for each of my ferrets. Since one vial has 45 mg of selemectin, then they are each getting approx. 22 mg per month, and I believe this to be adequate protection. My two ferret vets (from different practices) have also agreed with this.

Anyone who would like a copy of this study, feel free to email me directly.
