i have discussed the "nightmares". we can't find any cause for them. just the same way we've run multiple tests on him and have put him on special diets and nothing other than the pepcid/pred helps his ibd so we think it's stress related. he gets easily stressed/upset by small changes. as for the "nightmares" the other boy whines/talks in his sleep at times, like all ferrets. but the ibd one really cries out sometimes. and when i wake him, he looks frantic. i would want to discuss possible causes with my vet again which is why i'm asking if anyone has seen this type of behavior in relation to any illness/personality type and what was done for it.
