I agree 100% that the tests are highly inaccurate....that being said....bartonella is a huge problem in animals and in humans...I have talked to many vets that also would disagree with the statement that bartonella is a made up disease...as they see this infection many times and treatment does help.
I assume all studies could be done using the wrong abx and shows no improvement on the bartonella...so then they say bartonella doesn't exist...anyone can turn anything they want to favor what outcome they want....not saying that anything like that has been done.
Unless you yourself or a loved one has had to deal with this infection after having it for many many years and not being treated adequately for this infection one would never truly understand how disabling this disease to animals and to humans. But, with proper treatment this disease can be managed.
Bless you....I am not saying any animal has this or doesn't have this ... its just good to try to rule out and people need to be aware that this is indeed a huge problem - especially in WI and surrounding states....believe me I wish it was not.

[For those suspecting Bartonella - as recommended by Dr. Mitchell, ensure to have the correct test done i.e., PCR or culture to rule it out or confirm it. - Moderator (TD)].
