Sugar now 6 y/o has been to the vet, no appetite, weight loss, lethargic, flat ferret, soft stools. Blood glucose 100 (5.3 mmol).
On palpation some small lump was found deep in right kidney region.
She became very stressed when we tried to take more blood for lab test, and impossible to hold still for venipuncture so we left her alone for a while.
Ultrasound by different vet (not ferret familiar but same office) showed enlarged lymph node in kidney/adrenal area. Adrenal cancerous tumour assumed.
My vet phoned me later and he agreed to do surgery (not sure if it is left or right as testing vet didn't note which) .
I am really lucky to have this vet as he is the best surgeon I have personal experience of. His boss is better?, last week a simultaneous double hip replacement on smallish dog (world first??).

Tony, Sugar and Suki.
In memory of Sally and Sue.
