The frequent defecation may be coming from the prostate issues. The ferret may be straining so strongly attempting to urinate that some stools are being passed. If this is happening every hour you're looking at a complete blockage coming on, and it will come quickly. I would strongly recommend you get this ferret to a vet immediately for treatment. I would recommend a lupron injection, as it would act more quickly then any implant. Antibiotics may be needed as well, as it's not uncommon to see infection along with prostate issues.
Before I began using lupron (many years ago) I had one boy block three times. Believe me, it is not something you want to see happen. In all my years of using lupron I've seen prostate issues controlled in one and prevented in many others. Lupron would also address the aggression, and it would do so quickly.
I understand that money is an issue but with prostate involvement this is not something that can wait, this ferret will die and it will not be a pleasant passing. Treatment, of some sort, is needed right now.
As to the possible insulinoma, I would hope you tested the ferrets glucose prior to giving the pred. You don't say what symptoms you're seeing but it's possible this could be related to the prostate issues as well.
